Upcoming Litters |
As a veterinarian and breed enthusiast, I believe in breeding to improve the breed, not just to have puppies. If or when I decide to begin breeding aussies, all females will be bred to high quality males and both parents will have necessary health checks such as eye CERFs, OFA or PennHIP hip evaluation, and OFA elbow evaluation. Breeding is a large responsibility not to be taken lightly, so litters will only be offered on rare occasions. Anyone interested in a puppy should expect to be thoroughly interviewed via phone or email. Preference for homes will be given to those with experience with showing and performance activities. An Aussie is not for everyone. They are very high energy and quite intelligent, which means that they WILL get into trouble if they are left to their own resources. An Aussie requires continual training and is happiest learning a new activity. Please contact me if you are interested in a quality aussie. I may be able to make recommendations to other local breeders. You can also visit the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) and American Kennel Club (AKC) website for additional information and breeder referrals. |
